Galichica Mountain & Ohrid Lake are placed in south – west part of Macedonia, we can say one of the most beatuiful scenery in our country. This place delivers good flying conditions especially long sunset thermal/soaring sessions. Ohrid Lake is one of the European’s deepest and oldest lakes with a unique aquatic ecosystem of worldwide importance with more than 200 endemic species. The water is clean so you can see 25 m through and it is allowed for swimming, kayaking, sailing, paddling and etc. This lake it is declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The beautiful city of Ohrid (the most famous touristic place) is situated at the lakeside. There are plenty of cultural/historical importances to visit.
